QUE_MON is a print queue monitor that displays job information for all print queues on the system. The print queues are scanned every few seconds. Using QUE_MON, an operator can start and stop queues, display queue and job information, and delete jobs. QUE_MON can be installed with the OPER privilege. Additionally, users can be granted the QUEMON identifier to allow them to start and stop queues without having the ability to delete jobs. This feature is useful for letting faculty members start queues during off-hours, for example. QUE_MON was written by Brian Dickerson and Baron Chandler, Academic Computing student programmers at Western Kentucky University.
