Eisa Configuration Utility (ECU)

The utility mkboot.exe is for creating an alpha-srm bootable floppy on a DOS system. Like writeboot on OpenVMS or mkbootfirm on Digital UNIX.

mkbootarc.txt explains how to create an ARC/AlphaBIOS boot floppy for either OpenVMS or Digital UNIX systems.

mkntboot.txt describes how to build an ARC or Alphabios bootable floppy that can be booted from the SRM console. This functionality was first introduced on the V3.6 Firmware Update CD, but the overall process has been greatly simplified for the V3.7 and follow-on CDreleases.
