This directory contains the source (and binaries for certain systems) for
the editor ED - a DEC EDT like text editor.  Feel free to distribute it.
Consult the files in the distribution for more information.  I still 
maintain ED - but work just keeps me very busy.  

ED-158.tar.Z  -  Tar file "compress"ed - should be OK on any unixy system
ED-158.zip    -  Zip file, same files as above, for the PC type world
EDtar158.zip  -  Tar file "zip"ed, same as files above, but the most 
                 compact distribution.  Can be extracted with either unzip
                 or gunzip, ie "gunzip < EDtar158.zip | tar xf -"
                 The one to get to save bandwidth if you have the tools.
ED-NT.zip     -  Binary distribution for NT
edbuild       -  A unix script for what to do with the above...
edget         -  A unix script (ftp get this, chmod 755 it, then ./edget)
                 which should do the entire get/build for you
