APACHE web server for VMS. This directory holds the Apache web server ported to VMS with patches built on work from Compaq. Apache is the most popular web server on the Internet. This directory contains the patches to allow the Apache 1.3.6 web server to function on OpenVMS. File breakdown: aaareadme.www This file. aaareadme.update 'release notes' describing the changes made relative to the beta version on the Compaq web site. added_files.lis List of files included in vmsonly.zip. apachedev_n_sea.exe Self-extracting archive (OpenVMS Alpha executable) which when run will extract from itself a PCSI install kit. This kit contains a complete source distribution. hashes.asc PGP signature(s) for the .exe files. not_vmsonly.zip Apache sources files that have been modified for the VMS port (i.e. source files used to generate the *.diff files) vmsonly.zip New files not part of the original apache source tree. All but a few of these files will live in directory ./src/os/openvms and many of these are build scripts. *.diff Context diffs for the existing apache source files that require modification. These patches build upon the X0.1-4 kit Lee Tibbert posted at the Compaq OpenVMS site (and therefore diverges from the X0.1-5 kit now current). The code development was done on OpenVMS 7.2-1, DEC C 6.0, TCP/IP services 5.0A.
