I've been working with ObjectBroker a couple of years ago . Actually I had quite bad experience with it and I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Since then the product was sold to BEA and I know they were going to re-write it completely. I don't know the status of it now but it might be worth while to have a look. I guess it would still support VMS. Have a look at http://www.beasys.com/products/obb/. The project I'm working at just now are not using Corba on VMS. However, after we through out ObjectBroker we tested some different ORBs: Orbix, DAIS and VisiBroker. The clear winner in those tests were VisiBroker by far. Unfortunately I don't think Visibroker is supported on VMS, checkout http://www.inprise.com/visibroker/products/suppplatforms.html You might find some more information at the OMG's home page www.omg.com Our project uses Corba (read VisiBroker) between NT workstations and NT servers (gateways), which are talking to the legacy application on VMS using RTR (Reliable Transaction Router) from Compaq.
