It would've been nice to know which version of VMS you're running on which architecture. The "DIAG 7" was a temporary kluge until VMS Engineering released an appropriate ECO. If you've had to do this more than once, it's clear you haven't installed the requisite VAXQMAN or ALPQMAN ECO for your system. Post your system specifics and we can tell you which ECO you need to install. Or just go to ftp.service.digital.com, `cd' to `pub/vms/vax/v6.2' or `pub/vms/axp/v6.2' as appropriate (and substitute your system's `vx.y' VMS version number for `v6.2'), then do a `dir vaxqman*' or `dir alpqman*' to find the most current queue manager ECO for your system. Download it, install it, reboot (if necessary) and you'll a _much_ happier man! -Ken -- Kenneth H.
