I believe the enhancements are non-trivial on account of the various MicroSloth filesystems (FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32). The filesystem used by PCDISK and PCX doesn't work above a few megabytes. There was a recent announcement of a crude mtools port that might handle this problem if you're running a recent version of VMS (like v7.1). I think Sergey Tikhonov has configured this to work only with a floppy drive, but the code is there for the other formats. If someone wants take a look - the zip file could be taken from: ftp://grace.solvo.spb.su/pub/mtools_vms.zip Binaries are compiled on OpenVMS Alpha 7.1 with DEC C 5.7. Mtools assumes the DVA0: as drive A: and mount/dismount disk by itself. It doesn't preserve any file attributes ;(, but could be used to transfer zip files. I am not planning to do more work on it (I am comfortable how it works now), but if people show interest I would work with current maintainer to include VMS specific code to current release of mtools. Thank you, Tikhonov Sergey tsv@solvo.spb.su adr:;;;Saint-Petersburg;;;Russia
