You asked for it, you've got it. Check out: ftp://ftp.openvms.digital.com/multia Yes. You too can now run OpenVMS *unsupported* as a Hobbyist, on the Multia. A V7.1-2 patch kit is available, as well as a raw file hack for V6.2-1H3. The V7.2 patch kit should be available shortly. You need a valid VMS Hobbyist license, and the V6.2-1H3, V7.1-2, or V7.2 kits. The V7.1-2 and V7.2 patch kits are floppy images that are used in conjunction with the CD distribution (or an already installed VMS hard disk) to boot, and add support to VMS. You can also apply it to a cluster and boot the Multia from the cluster. The V6.2-1H3 is just raw files. You need to be able to hand apply the files, and it requires some console commands to boot it. The kit also contains a SRM console image. The release notes in the kit (you can extract them using backup from the kit) explain what to do. It's completely unsupported, but let us know here if you have any problems... and let us know if anybody actually uses it ;-) Enjoy :-)
