I think the problem is DCPS-related, because the following setup works: $mc latcp create port lta9000:/application set port lta9000:/node=xcd_0509c0/port=p1 exit $set term lta9000:/passthru/tab/nobroadcast/per $set device spool lta9000: $init/queue/start/on=lta9000:/proc=latsym lj4000 Printing to that queue works without problems. The printer is not attached to a real DECserver. The XCD XJet2000 is a Networkcard that acts like a server and offers a printing service to the network. It has just a console password. But disabeling it doesn't help. Bye, Matthias
