By: Robert Alan Byer ByerRA@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my CircleMUD for OpenVMS page. I first started working on porting CircleMUD to OpenVMS a few years ago when my roomate got hooked on MUDS and asked if I could port over a MUD for OpenVMS. I started the work, but because of other things I never got it really finished. Then two month ago I got some free time and grabbed the latest version of CircleMUD and started back into it. I consider this a "kludge" as I had to "kludge" some things together to get the SOCKETSHR library and GNU C to work together. It's not pretty, but it works. So while this may not be the most perfect port, it does work rather well and it represents two months of work. If you follow the directions below, you should have no problems in getting it up and running on your machine. Comments, bug reports, suggestions are welcome, flames will just be ignored. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.
