I added a DE500-AA to an Alphastation 200 4/233 running OpenVMS V6.2 with console version V6.8-2. > I then started applying the VMS patches dealing the the DE500. I set the ewb0_mode console variable value to negotiate the speed and half/full duplex mode. Upon booting, SCS started to use the EWB0 device and the machine joined our cluster. > Any suggestions? Perhaps you didn't set ewb0_mode at the console prompt. With the patches, OpenVMS 6.2 can run at 100mbps. I do have one interesting problem though. SCS begins to use the EWB0 device. However, when DECnet (Phase IV) starts, the cluster looses connection with the machine for a few seconds. -- Vance Haemmerle Internet vance@toyvax.Tucson.AZ.US Tucson, AZ vance%toyvax@Arizona.EDU http://condor.lpl.arizona.edu/~vance/ NSI-SPAN/HEPNET 47540::TOYVAX::VANCE VAXbar - New VAX configuration http://www.digital.com/info/vax/998_DECUS/sld055.htm
