Download VMS versions of AscToHTM ------------------------------------------------------------------------ What's new Version 3.0 is now released. Details of the changes can be found in the on-line documentation at http://www.yrl.co.uk/~jaf/doco/A2H_12.HTM#Section_12.9 Documentation kits (you build it using AscToHTM, naturally) are included in all downloads now. Download kits now include AscToTab. Downloading VMS versions Since this is God's own operating system, we've made the software free to VMS users. This is because the software has been developed under VMS, and we'd like to redress the balance against U**X just a little. All other versions of the program are available commercially as shareware, although we also make the program available for free to FAQ maintainers. The following download kits contain the following:- * .OLB object library and a LINK_PROGS.COM command file. This will allow you to build .exe's suited to your own system. * AscToHTM and AscToTab executables linked against the Run time libraries. These programs are written in C++ and require RTL installed. As such there is a possibility of ident mismatch, so... * We also include "NOSHARE" versions of the program for those systems which don't have the necessary RTLs. * Documentation kit. The documentation is supplied as text files which you convert to HTML yourself. Instructions are contained in the README files. You can download the kits from here :- * Vax 3.0 build kit (900k). Here's Here's its PGP signature * Alpha 3.0 kit (1280k). Here's Here's its PGP signature The above kits include text files to build the HTML doco from, but should you wish a copy of that separately, or to read first, you can get this from Note, this documentation is not specific to VMS, but does have the .HTM files in VMS format. * The VMS HTML documentation (176k) Some of these files (especially those that contain .EXE's) have been PGP signed should you wish to authenticate that they are as originally posted by me. (See PGP security for details) Problems If you experience any problems using these files, send us details, and we'll try to help you out. Problems are most likely to occur due to ident mismatches. Either you have an earlier version of VMS or an earlier version of some shareable library. We've tried to use the oldest systems we have, but unfortunately (!) our systems are reasonably up to date. As for any problems using the software, or with the conversions that result, we welcome any comments, fault reports or suggestions for improvements, although the time available for responding to such comments is sometimes limited.
