This is the Digital archive site for Linux/Alpha.  

April 4, 1996: I've done some significant reorganization of the
files in this archive to reflect the relevance (and outdatedness!)
of the archive pieces.

Note that Alpha support is now part of the base kernel distribution,
and all of the work at Digital is sent to Linus for inclusion in the
main source tree.  Therefore, you will find no "special" kernel sources
here.

The new arrangement is as follows:


    ARCHIVES			- Old, outdated items kept around for 
				  reference purposes

      ARCHIVES/BLADE_0.3	- The last release of BLADE

      ARCHIVES/1.0-32bit	- The old 32-bit kernel, based on 1.0

      ARCHIVES/1.2-64bit	- The original 64-bit kernel, based on 1.2

    JENSEN_INSTALL		- Utilities and instructions for installing
				  Linux on the "Jensen" machines (DEC 2000
				  AXP and DECpc 150 AXP)

    Miniloader			- Sources, executables, and instructions for
				  the Linux/Alpha MIniLOader ("MILO").
      Miniloader/arc		- Utilities needed for loading MILO from the
				  ARC console (i.e. linload.exe)

      Miniloader/docs		- Documentation

      Miniloader/images		- The latest stable executable images

      Miniloader/src		- MILO Source code

      Miniloader/test-images	- "Bleeding edge" images built from the very
				  latest sources.

    X11				- X servers and some clients for Linux/Alpha

    misc			- stuff that belongs nowhere else

      misc/gzip			- gzip binaries for various platforms

      misc/isp			- binaries for the ISP Alpha CPU simulator
