Nononononono! Those are development versions. Get the release versions of off CPAN. Either hit http://www.perl.com/CPAN to find a CPAN mirror site you like, or use one of the ones I hit by default (ftp.funet.fi in /pub/languages/perl/CPAN, or ftp.orst.edu in /pub/packages/perl). Source for perl is in the src subdirectory.=20 The latest version is in both latest.tar.gz and latest.zip, and is source for 5.005_02. If you prefer source for the latest release of 5.004 (5.004_04 right now, though 5.004_05's due out RSN), it's in there as well, though only as a .tar.gz file. >binaries: > ftp://ftp.sidhe.org/ Which is more or less mirrored at http://www.sidhe.org/misc, if you prefer web access. There are also a number of VMS-specific perl modules on CPAN (eight at last count). From the top level of a CPAN mirror, they're in the modules/by-module/VMS subdirectory. I don't think any of them have had formal announcements to Info-VAX/comp.os.vms, though. I also keep some (rapidly getting out of date) perl info at http://www.sidhe.org/vmsperl for the curious.
