Just to be clear, this is not a disk size issue, it's a SCAM protocol support issue. A 2.2GB disk with SCAM support would also show this problem, where as a 4.5GB disk without SCAM support would not. These are very nice systems, and I'm happy to have one. A few other tips for folk with these machines: - The default keyboard type (kbd_hardware_type) is PCXAL. If you change this to LK411, a standard PC keyboard works pretty much the same as a real LK411, except for the missing keys. - The LK411 keyboard is available from Digital/Compaq for $75. - I have seen PC keyboards which will work just fine at the console prompts, but appear totally dead under DECwindows. You didn't misconfigure DECwindows; get a decent keyboard. -- Reece R. Pollack Senior Software Engineer Attachmate Specialty Products Group
