It's not a Registry problem. (My soapbox of the month: People mess with the Registry way too much. It was *intentionally* created to be difficult to access, because only skilled people generally should be messing with it. The tendency for people to jump to the conclusion that they have to mess with the Registry is probably responsible for a very high percentage of the problems that pop up on these newsgroups needing solution!) If you have TweakUI, it will allow you to set options for this. If not, it is done by adding a line to MSDOS.SYS in your root directory. At the bottom of MSDOS.SYS add the line: AutoScan=2 To edit MSDOS.SYS you will have to remove its ReadOnly and Hidden attributes (right-click | Properties); so be sure to restore them afterwards. You can edit it with Notepad, Edit, etc. JAE
