Lately I did some testing with V6.1 (VAX _and_ AXP) and have patches ready for alpha-testing with this version. Experienced system managers interested in the matter may FTP to the directory ftp.gwdg.de:/pub/vms/scheduler-patch/ and pick up the README file first. I also added my older version for VMS V5.4 there. On the only 6.1 VAX that currently I have, the patch seems to have a less dramatic impact on SPAWN preformance than on all the other versions, but that box is also the only one around here that runs DECnet Phase V. I'd really like to hear about experiences on another 6.1 VAX system! NOTE: Under unfortunate circumstances, patching a VMS system may render it unable to boot. I can't _guarantee_ for anything!
