		TO RETRIEVE A REPORT
		--------------------

Ask a local expert about how to run anonymous ftp from your machine if
you're not sure.

Once an ftp connection has been established, be sure to issue the
"binary" command. The compressed PostScript files will not transfer
correctly otherwise.

The report files can be uncompressed with the Unix "uncompress"
program. If you do not have compress/uncompress, sources are available
on gatekeeper.dec.com in /pub/misc/compress-4.0-tar. A VMS version is
also available; see the /pub/VMS directory and the
/pub/VMS/README.compress file for details.


		BEFORE PRINTING
		---------------

Uncompress the report by using "uncompress." We have set up the
PostScript files to use only the fonts and memory available on the
smallest Apple PostScript printers we could find. We hope that these
documents will print almost everywhere. If the report is too big, or
your printer does not flip pages correctly, you can split it into parts
or reverse the page order using a program like "psrev." "Psrev" may be
present on your system. Check with your system administrator to locate
it or any equivalent program you may happen to have.


		IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS
		--------------------

If you have retrieval and/or printing problems, please e-mail
src-report@src.dec.com indicating the report you are seeking along with
your name and full postal address. A hardcopy will then be sent to you
at no charge. US orders will be sent 3rd class mail. Overseas will be
sent surface rate (6-8 weeks).

Although we may not be able to solve your printing problems, we would
like to hear about any that arise, so that the electronic distribution
of SRC Reports can be improved. We'd like to include your tips in this 
README file.
