    I read this announcement as:
    
    1. It must have taped out extremely quickly and faster than the last
       product that taped out. 
    
    2. MIPS have now got the fastest tape out process in the industry.
    
    3. They taped out much faster than both the Alpha and Intel
    
    Some new metrics:
    
    PPAT - Projected performance at tapeout
    PAC - Performance of actual chips
    PPTVPAC - Projected Performance at tape out vs performance of actual
    	      chips  (PPAT vs PAC)
    COTPTAC - Coefficient of number of taped out processors to actual chips
    SPECfh  - SPEC benchmark of floating hype, which is the floating point 
    		PPTVPAC delivered by semiconductor marketing
    PDDAT   - Projected Delivery Date at tapeout
    ADDAC   - Actual Delivery Date of actual chips
    PDDVADD - PDDAT vs ADDAC
