No hardware changes at all. I'm almost sure it works - we tried it, got cold feet and set it back: With a VAXstation 3100, you get a code D (VMS workstation) license and this has a UNITS setting of 200 (we think this means 2 users max.). By performing: $ LICENSE UNLOAD VAX-VMS $ LICENSE MODIFY/UNITS=1600/DATABASE=SYS$SYSTEM:LMF$SYSTEM.LDB VAX-VMS $ LICENSE LOAD VAX-VMS/DATABASE=SYS$SYSTEM:LMF$SYSTEM.LDB One appears to get a 16 user license out of it. We tested it and it seems to be true. Am I missing something? I know it violates the license agreement with DEC, hence the cold feet and setting it back to 200 units. Keith
