The key is to do the following: $ SPAWN VAXNET VAXNET> initiate your connection tell the other side to send or receive VAXNET> PAUSE $ DEF/USER TT TXB1: ! or whatever your modem port is $ rz ! or sz and whatever switches you need $ ATTACH USER_1 ! or whatever your sub-process name is VAXNET> ! continue your session Hope this helps.
