You can get the SHOW DEVICE command to show you the locks on a disk device. Try this - $ DEFINE/PROCESS SHOW$DEBUG DEBUG ^^^^^ this can be any string you may want to $ SET TERM/WID=132 here... $ SHOW DEV D This has given me additional output on VMS 4.7 and 5.2, I believe the author in VAX Pro described it as a undocumented-can-go-away-at-any-time feature.
