Message-Id: <4687@shlump.nac.dec.com> Sender: info-vax-request@kl.sri.com To: info-vax@kl.sri.com FTSV is the "File Transfer Spooler" for VMS, a utility which spools DECnet file transfers in batch. If a target node isn't available, it'll retry periodically to begin. If a node goes down during the transfer, it'll retry for the node to come up, then resume the transfer where it was interrupted, not at the start. It keeps a log of the timing, success, and size of transfers. It works between VMS and Ultrix (but runs only on VMS). In fact it's just like COPY, but with the additional features to make it useful on nets where the links come up and down, for whatever reason. Heavily used within Digital. This one definitely is available through ASSETS, and I am not confused :-) about it. ---Pete kaiser@cheese.enet.dec.com DEC, 2 Mt.
