In the following two messages, I am posting a MFTU-encoded text file that contains TONS of escape sequences. Once DE-coded, and typed as output to any standard VT-compatable terminal, you'll see an animated christmas tree with some real neat effects. (I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet....) To decode, in case you don't know how..... 1) edit all of the headers from the two next messages and concatenate them together. This is a VMS_SHARE file which will create a file called ENCODING.MFT 2) run the MFTU utility to decode it. MFTU should be defined as a foreign symbol for $uucp_bin:mftu. Just run uucp_bin:usercmds to set this up. 3) now decode it. $ MFTU DECODE ENCODING.MFT ...which will create XMAS.ANSI. type it out, and voila! for you system managers out there, you may want to set it up to be diaplayed for anyone who logs onto a VT terminal. However, use caution (management can get cranky sometimes).... have fun!
