This version appears to have a bug which causes it to reject news items as duplicates once a newsgroup accumulates a lot of items. It was working fine for us (I think...) from 17-April up until 2-May, when I presume some sort of overflow occurreed. Since that time, NEWS has been rejecting all items for our two big newsgroups (comp.sys.mac, 1133 items, and comp.os.vms,706 items). Fortunately, I had some of the item batches backed-up, and will be able to rerun them once the problem is identified. Watch out if you don't have this backup. The problem also evidences itself on local postings to large newsgroups...the item gets mailed out to the net, but will not appear in the local item listing for the newsgroup. I've mailed Geoff, but have not as yet received any fix. The items numbers for comp.os.vms are 6519 to 7226, and comp.sys.mac 4277-5409 in case any of you C types can identify table whose subscripts might be going out of bounds...
