Wait for the instruction to "USE CONSOLE TO HALT PROCESSOR".  When this appears,
turn the console key  switch on the far right from  SECURE to LOCAL  (12 o'clock
position). Then press control/P to halt the processor.

To reboot,  spin up the RA81  by pressing LOAD and waiting for  the white  READY
light to come on. Then press the white RESET button and turn the key switch back
to LOCAL. Wait for message "SYSTEM job terminated" before you log on.

To switch off, first spin down all drives:

Magtape:  Press REW/UNLD (twice if necessary) until  the tape is all wound onto
	  the  bottom spool.  Remove the  spool,  replace the collar seal,  and
	  return the reel to the rack.

Floppy's: Just remove disk.

RL's:	  Depress the LOAD button and wait for the yellow light to come ON. Then
	  remove the disk packs and store them in the cupboard.

RA81:	  Depress the RUN/STOP button,  and wait for the yellow light to go OFF.

Then switch off with 11/750 key switch and at the wall.
