DIRECTORY TRAVEL CONNECT: A handy and useful tool for traveling through directories and subdirectories has been implemented by Iveory Johnson and installed in BUILD:[BLDUTIL.COM]. If you have grown tired of typing SET DEF with all the required brackets, colons, etc. you might wish to use CONNECT. The file can be perused in the above directory at CON.COM; a complete set of usage and installation intructions can be obtained by TYPEing CONNECT.HLP in the same directory. Once installed, the same info can be obtained by entering CON *HELP. The following DCL assignments must be added to your LOGIN.COM file in order to use CONNECT: $ CONN*ECT :== @BUILD:[BLDUTIL.COM]CON $ CONN *INIT Enter your login default device (i.e. your top level directory name) where 'device' appears above. Note that CONN*ECT may be abbreviated CON*NECT if you don't mind it wiping out the abbreviation for CONTINUE.
