In response to Dave Caplinger's question:



	The problem you are having is because you are logged in on the
terminal you are trying to allocate. Do not log in on the second terminal.
If you are using a terminal connected to a terminal server you must first
connect that port to the system. This can be done by using the following
commands:

		$ run sys$system:latcp
		LCP> create port ltaxx: /application ( where xx is a unique #)
		LCP> set port ltaxx: /node=xxx /port=xxx
		LCP> EXIT
