Not even having a 750 any more, I have brought them down to Melbourne for (a) the ride, and (b) to find a new home. Interested people should contact me any way they like - first in first served. Cheers Dave Hawley IT Manager Tektronix Australia ================================================================================ Note 2.0 Homes wanted for PDP-11/34s (maybe 11/23s as well) No replies OPNNET::STEWARTA9 20 lines 26-AUG-1992 11:44 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gentlepeoples, This went into a DECUS news a while ago but it went under the wrong name. There are eight PDP-11/34s (2xRL01s, 1xRK05, 1x600ft Tape drive) and eight PDP-11/23s (2xRL01s) needing homes, plus 16xLA180s. There are some RL01 and RK05 packs. They are in Melbourne and I've got to get them out of the warehouse by September. There will be some sort of charge, drinks-for-the Christmas-party level. $50 each? I think I've got enough homes for the PDP-11/23s but the 11/34s are vulnerable. ie RL01s go to a Maintenance company and the rest dumped. Any takers? Andy Stewart. ================================================================================ Note 3.0 Wanted: WPS PLUS for Rainbow 2 replies OPNNET::BURNETM26 4 lines 26-AUG-1992 16:05 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wanted : WPS PLUS for Rainbow on floppy. Needed by a number of DECUS customers. Pls contact Werner FAets or Max Burnet of the NOP SIG. Thanks. ================================================================================ Note 3.1 Wanted: WPS PLUS for Rainbow 1 of 2 OPNNET::STEWARTA9 13 lines 27-AUG-1992 11:04 -< Maybe able to help. >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not that I admit to playing with MESS-DROSS or that I have DEC copyright software without a license but what version are you after? There was a WPS that I called V1 (no folders, CP/M or MS-DOS) that fits on about three RX50s in BACKUP format plus another disk or three for the CBI. WPS-Plus/DOS V2 on MS-DOS fits on about nine RX50s in BACKUP format and supports folders and drawers (3 typically - A, B and HARD) I may be able to help, catch me Offline. :-) Andy Stewart. ================================================================================ Note 3.2 Wanted: WPS PLUS for Rainbow 2 of 2 OPNNET::SMITHB10 8 lines 28-AUG-1992 12:33 -< WPS for Rainbow >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If no-one comes up with this beforehand, give me a bell next week on 042 278 510 I'm pretty sure I've got one or two copies (and manuals) I'm trying to find homes for. Bob Smith ================================================================================ Note 4.0 Printers Required 5 replies OPNNET::CAWTHORNET31 18 lines 27-AUG-1992 08:51 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wanted (prefably alive and working.....) two LQP03 printers with sheet feeders/tractor feeds for use with a DECmate III at home. LQP02 Tractor Feed also required for home use. Plus any spares, ribbons, daisy wheels etc for the above units. My colleagues are also interested in the additional CP/M boards for the DECmate III's for the use of the spelluing option (needed urgently!). Willing to make a cash donation for any of the above if required. Work has a number of spare DHV11's, KMV11's, RD53's, Fujitsu 140Mb drives, 2400' mag tapes (approx 300 in v.g.c) and old manuals that we would like to get rid of, however, a small donation may be required to help increase the capital of Victoria from it's current value of $1.50. Interested parties - please contact me via Mail ================================================================================ Note 4.1 Printers Required 1 of 5 OPNNET::HAWLEYD13 "Dave Hawley, IT Manager, Tektroni" 2 lines 27-AUG-1992 10:32 -< Fujitsu's? >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are the Fujitsu's compatible with RD disks? Ie. can I slot them in my MV2 box and run on the RQDX3? ================================================================================ Note 4.2 Printers Required 2 of 5 OPNNET::STEWARTA9 12 lines 27-AUG-1992 10:56 -< Probably can help with LQP0x. >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've got a contact for LQP03s for about $50 each. The one I got as a test didn't have the tractor feed but they may be available. I have another contact for the LQP02s but they may not be worth it. ie poorly stored. I'm definitely interested in the bits and pieces for NOP purposes. Andy Stewart. Catch me at the library desk Thurs 4pm to 5.30pm or Bellarine 4 5.30pm to 6pm or 808-9584 AH after the Symposium. ================================================================================ Note 4.3 Printers Required 3 of 5 OPNNET::CAWTHORNET31 5 lines 27-AUG-1992 17:55 -< Disk Drives >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had the drives connected to a Webster controller along with Maxtor 330Mb drives, so I assume that if you have a formatter, you should be o.k. Give me a call next week on 03-615-0339 to discuss further. ================================================================================ Note 4.4 Printers Required 4 of 5 OPNNET::CAWTHORNET31 1 line 27-AUG-1992 17:57 -< Spare equipment >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will contact you next week re: spare equipment. ================================================================================ Note 4.5 Printers Required 5 of 5 OPNNET::GEREMINJ27 4 lines 28-AUG-1992 09:46 -< I am interested. >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am interested but give Andy Stewart first go. John G. Megatronics. ================================================================================ Note 5.0 PRO350 3 replies OPNNET::TONKINP2 5 lines 27-AUG-1992 18:52 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a pro350 with a 10MB hard drive does anybody know if any of the hardware in this system can be used for anything useful other than a boat anchor. ================================================================================ Note 5.1 PRO350 1 of 3 OPNNET::STEWARTA9 13 lines 28-AUG-1992 09:31 -< Break up or giveaway. >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The hard disk has the ST506 interface, can be used on a PC or similar. If it is a DEC RD51 then it is a Seagate ST412 jumpered to respond as units 1, 2 and 3. (The RD50 responds as 1, 2, 3 and 4: that's how the disks were sized.) The keyboard will work on VT2xx or VT3xx at least. The monitor works on a VT240 base. The RX50 will work on other machines. The other alternative is to give it away to a good home. My phone no is in DECUS news, along with other NOP and PDP-11 sig people who can help. Andy Stewart. ================================================================================ Note 5.2 PRO350 2 of 3 OPNNET::STEWARTA9 8 lines 28-AUG-1992 09:35 -< Expand it. >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are finding it too small, then it is still possible to expand it. I've been buying Seagate ST225 (RD31 - 20Mb) drives for $100 and larger drives are a possibility. You can expand the PRO350 daughter memory boards by replacing the 64Kbit chips with 256Kbit chips and installing two links (W1 and W2). Andy. ================================================================================ Note 5.3 PRO350 3 of 3 OPNNET::GEREMINJ27 6 lines 28-AUG-1992 09:50 -< try some new software... >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The pRO-380 in the PDP-11 room has lots of good software on it. And with windows is easy to use. Try it and see. John G. Megatronics. 02-764 4855. PS. I will make you an offer if you like. !!!
