DECwindows without C

Almost all programs written for the X11
Window System are written in C.
However, many programmers are unfamiliar
or not comfortable with C and not every
site has a C compiler.  With Digital's
DECwindows under VAX/VMS the programmer
has the option of writing X11 programs
in languages other than C using
reasonably standard VAX/VMS calls.  This
paper presents the author's attempts
usiong VAX Pascal.  Some familiarity
with DECwindows programming (including
UIL) is assumed but a knowledge of
Pascal is not required.
