XEV(1) USER COMMANDS XEV(1) NAME xev - print contents of X events SYNOPSIS xev [-display _d_i_s_p_l_a_y_n_a_m_e] [-geometry _g_e_o_m] DESCRIPTION _X_e_v creates a window and then asks the X server to send it notices called _e_v_e_n_t_s whenever anything happens to the win- dow (such as being moved, resized, typed in, clicked in, etc.). It is useful for seeing what causes events to occur and to display the information that they contain. OPTIONS -display _d_i_s_p_l_a_y This option specifies the X server to contact. -geometry _g_e_o_m This option specifies the size and/or location of the window.
