Welcome to WAIS!

This is the distribution of WAIS, Wide Area Information Servers, which is a
system permitting one to set up servers which contain documents describing
useful information, and clients on a variety of machines which query those
servers based on keywords and similarity to already-found documents (in an
iterative fashion) to locate documents you may be interested in. There is
code here for unix, vms, next, and macintosh.
