NCSA Telnet

This tree contains the most current available updates of NCSA Telnet
for IBM PC and Mac. These programs allow these machines to use
Telnet and FTP protocols to communicate with other machines via
TCP/IP. Contributed software is also made available as appropriate, from
the Zaphod FTP site. (zaphod.ncsa.uiuc.edu).
  NCSA Telnet gives a PC or Mac the ability to have multiple sessions,
emulating terminals, concurrently active on one or more other hosts,
multiple concurrent file transfers in either direction with some of these
hosts, and the ability to log activities. A TCP/IP connection is needed
for this; drivers are included for most setups. X applications are not
directly supported, since this is NOT an X server, but some graphics
modes are available via Tektronix emulation (in addition to VT emulation).
   The BYU version of Mac Telnet contains VT200 mode support; VT102 is
the normal standard for the others.
