The two savesets in this directory contain the Ohio State WHOIS server and
fuzz-e-mail code. Please understand that this code, as is, cannot possibly
be of any use in setting up your own WHOIS system or fuzz-e-mail forwarder.
Everything here was specifically designed to interface with input data
whose format was dictated by pre-existing files belonging to the university's
personnel department.

However, it's been pointed out that any project, no matter how successful,
can always be made useful it: can serve as a bad example :-)
I suggest that you only consider using this as an example... time will tell
whether it's good or bad.

So, with that in mind, here's what's here:

FUZZY.SAV - saveset of the fuzzy mailer code for PMDF - I make no guarantees
that everything is actually here, I've not had to try to port to a new PMDF
version yet.
------------------------
WHOIS.SAV - saveset of the OSU WHOIS server and all it's pieces parts.
The BUILD.COM procedure knows how to build the server and the database
update program. The programs that are still used are: MT_SERVER,
WHOIS_INTERACTIVE, FINGER_AGENT, and UPDATE_PERSONNEL

Starting up the processes is done with:
	START_SERVER.COM
	WHOIS_SERVER_TCP.COM
	FINGER_SERVER_TCP.COM

A user logged into the system runs WHOIS_INTERACTIVE to have a dialog with
the server (this is what you get if you TELNET to OSU.EDU).

Updating the database is done with BATCH_UPDATE_TEST.COM.
